Stan's Sandwich Shop is a great option and a popular place for the hungry workers in the area that surrounds this particular sandwich shop. I wish we had more of these old school, No Frills sandwich shops where I live in Orlando periods the sandwich shops we do have here are usually priced significantly higher I do not offer what's the many is the basic sandwiches that a place like this should offer. So since I am in Jacksonville regularly on business, when lunch time rolls around, I will often seek out one of these sandwich shops. As I said, the menu is filled with old time favorite sandwiches and the prices are definitely more than competitive. There is absolutely nothing fancy or trendy about this place, but this is a perfect place for someone to come in and grab a meal and be on your way in a hurry and not take too hard of a hit on your wallet. I would definitely recommend Stan's Sandwich Shop if you are looking for a simple meal at a good price point.
Stan's is situated in the industrial district along Lane Avenue, and is frequented by the many hungry workers needing a good, hearty breakfast or lunch. They're open Monday through Friday, 6a.m. to 3p.m., and between customers standing in line and pick up orders, it rarely slows down. There's a dining room if you opt to eat in, but I often call ahead and take my order to go since I live nearby. Their daily lunch and combo specials are the way to go if you're a baller on a budget. The Hot Pastrami Sandwich Combo with Fries and a medium drink is only $7.99 (try it on a sub roll instead of regular bread), made to order, and always delicious. On Tuesdays, their lunch special is Country Fried Steak with White Gravy, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, and a Biscuit for only $7.59. Their specials vary from day to day, so check out the menu pictures before making the trip! The owners are an Asian couple and always friendly when I'm there, even though they're constantly busy taking and filling orders. Whether you're there for breakfast or lunch, everything on the menu is fresh, tasty, and affordable, so stop in and show Stan's Sandwich Shop some love!

This is a solid little sandwich shop that is a favorite of my husband and his coworkers. It's located on the corner of Lane and Commonwealth in a heavily industrial area of the Westside. It's not much to look at on the outside, but it's clean and bright inside and it's obvious the owners love it a lot from the way they've decorated it. Most of their lunch business appears to be take out but they deliver as well. Prices are very reasonable. My husband's fave item here is their banana pudding. They only make one kind of dessert a day (and various cookies) and when it runs out, oh well. It's VERY popular. I didn't try it because I don't eat bananas, but it looked nice and it's quite large as you can see. My husband usually only eats half at lunch and saves the other half to snack on later in the day. Today, he had the hot pastrami on a sub roll, I had a BLT on toasted white, and we split a large order of French fries. (Fries are only cooked to order, so no sitting around under a heat lamp.) My BLT was a good, standard sandwich, but his hot pastrami was actually very good and I wish I had ordered that instead, and I'm not a big pastrami person normally. There are all sorts of daily specials, etc., that are popular as well, including actual meals and not just sandwiches.
There was Stan's along a stretch of road just standing out as a regular looking place inside and out with a wide variety of food to choose from. They have a full breakfast menu and assorted sandwiches to choose from. I went for the standard burger, fries and soda which proved to be a good choice. You know you can't eat atmosphere so a modest place with good food was fine with me.
